Tomochology is a private clinical psychology practice founded and operated by Dr. Tomoko Yamaguchi, a New Zealand Psychologists Board Registered Clinical Psychologist, a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychology and EMDRNZ.
Tomochology's mission is to provide a Trusting and Open therapeutic environment and to help our clients Master effective strategies to Overcome their life challenges.
Tomoko arrived in New Zealand from Japan as a high school student and trained as a clinical psychologist at Massey University, Manawatū Campus.
Tomoko has various experiences working in mental health services in Palmerston North, Taranaki, and South Auckland, New Zealand.
Tomoko has experience working with a diverse range of backgrounds, particularly with children, youth, and families/whānau groups. Tomoko speaks both Japanese and English.

Overcoming Challenges
At Tomochology, we offer psychological health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families living in Palmerston North and the surrounding areas.
We take referrals from your GP, other healthcare professionals, or clients who can self-refer. We also work on referrals from various organisations, such as schools and community social services.

After your referral, we will reach out as soon as we can to learn more and see if Tomochology is the right fit for your needs.
Confidentiality is a priority at Tomochology. Your personal details stay private unless you consent in writing, or if there's a serious safety risk. We are committed to protecting your information and ensuring your sessions remain secure and private.
